From the founding of St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph 159 years ago to our leadership in healthcare today, our community of donors has been a vital partner in our growth and success. “St. Joseph’s receives annual funding too support operations but does not receive capital funding to purchase the equipment needed to be a leading rehabilitation, complex continuing care and long-term care facility” says David Wormald, President of SJHCG. “That’s why we are so grateful to the community for rallying in support of all the work we do in Guelph and the surrounding area.”
Our donors assist our care teams in providing exceptional care, ensuring they have the equipment they need that is vital to diverse patient needs. Each and every patient and resident is affected by the generosity of donors like you. Purchased equipment, like Medication Carts used ensure that the people we serve receive the right medication, in the right dosage at the right time, every time, allow our care teams to increase efficiency so that they can meet the needs of those in our community.
Whether it is a mother recovering from a major leg surgery in Inpatient Rehab who can confidently relearn to walk without fear of falling using an Assisted Walking Device, or a grandfather in Complex Continuing Care recovering from a stroke, learning to use a communication device to talk to loved ones; donors are vital to ensuring our care teams have the equipment they need to provide our community, your friends and family, with the best care possible.
“Our community has responded in so many ways to support those who need the service of the Health Centre,” shared Sera Filice-Armenio, Chief Executivie Officer of St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation. “We are so grateful for your dedication to meeting the needs of St. Joseph’s patients now and in the future, enabling those facing a life-altering health crisis to live their best life possible.”
