All About St. Joseph’s Health Centre

St. Joseph’s Health Centre is Guelph’s leading, fully-accredited, not-for-profit provider of complex continuing care, rehabilitation services, and long-term care.

St. Joseph’s Health Centre supports people and their families facing significant challenges, through all stages of life. Whether it’s a child in need of speech therapy, a mother who is managing complex injuries from an accident, a grandfather who is recovering from a stroke, or a grandmother in need of palliative care in her final days, people turn to St. Joseph’s for the care and support they and their families need.

St. Joseph’s Outreach Services offer support for those who wish to continue to live in their own homes but need assistance because of dementia-related conditions, injury, frailty, or problems associated with isolation. In addition, their outpatient clinics provide services in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, rheumatology, and osteoporosis.

St. Joseph’s also provides care and education to people with injuries, or diseases, affecting muscles, bones, and nerves through their physiatry program, and supports people living with the effects of aging through their geriatrics program.

Focused on kindness, compassion, dignity, and respect, St. Joseph’s is renowned for the compassionate care they provide and for their ongoing commitment to excellence. In fact, this year St. Joseph’s was awarded a rating of Accreditation with Exemplary Standing — the highest possible honour for a Canadian healthcare provider.

Despite the wonderful contributions and awards, St. Joseph’s ability to meet Guelph’s growing healthcare needs depends upon the support of our community, and fundraising is key to providing the best care possible.
