Foodie Extravaganza Taste of Guelph 2017
Taste of Guelph, presented by Linamar, is a premier gourmet garden party in support of St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph. This annual, culinary event would not be possible without the support of the community, our sponsors, and the many wonderful local chefs, restaurants, and caterers for the past 20 years. This year’s Taste of Guelph features both new, and returning, chefs!
A past favourite at Taste of Guelph, now under new ownership, is Insomnia Trattoria and Wine Bar — Guelph’s local taste of Italy. In 1996, the original Cafe Insomnia was established as an Italian-style coffee house. Since then, it has been evolving into a full Italian Trattoria-style restaurant. This restaurant lives its philosophy that ‘Eating is a Serious Matter’, and along with their excellent food, they have a wonderful selection of wines and desserts. The combination of the atmosphere and live weekend entertainment is what keeps people coming back.

Crafty Ramen is the perfect blend of traditional Japanese cuisine with Canadian ingredients. Miki and Jared, the owners and chefs of Crafty Ramen, attended the Yamato Ramen School in Japan to become experts of the culinary craft and now work every day to continually better their product as well as provide a memorable experience for you. Crafty Ramen works very hard to create ramen dishes that respect the tradition of the noodle, while innovating and modernizing the techniques used to cook these dishes. All the pork, chicken, and vegetables are bought locally in Guelph, and the wheat (used in the noodle) is grown in Canada.
