MEDIA RELEASE

Tuesday, September 28, 2021- GUELPH, ON This year St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation Guelph’s signature fundraiser, Taste of Guelph, was reimagined as Passport to Taste of Guelph, and the response from the community was remarkable, raising over $120,000.

Over 500 people purchased Taste of Guelph Passports filled with exclusive vouchers, which they can continue to redeem for another six months, supporting so many of our local restaurants, breweries and distilleries in Guelph, Fergus and Elora who have also seen the immense impacts of this pandemic.

“We knew our traditional Taste of Guelph event would be missed this year, and we are so grateful to see the positive response to this year’s format” said Sera Filice-Armenio, CEO of St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation Guelph. “We were delighted to welcome Linamar back as our long-standing Presenting Sponsor, and wish to thank all of our valued sponsors, Passport purchasers, auction supporters, and of course all of our amazing vendors, who made this initiative such a resounding success.”

All proceeds from Passport to Taste of Guelph will go towards the purchase of much needed medical equipment used to care for so many in our community facing significant and often life-altering health challenges.

“We rely on Taste of Guelph each year,” said David Wormald, President of St. Joseph’s Health Centre. “This event plays a critical role to provide the tools we need to deliver exemplary care. Our community took the opportunity to rally around us once again, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their support.”
