Signature fundraising event for St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation Taste of Guelph celebrates 25th anniversary
Mark your calendars & don’t forget to purchase tickets before August 30th for early-bird pricing!
Taste of Guelph will resume in-person this fall, set to kick off on Sunday, September 18, from 1 PM to 4 PM at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
The signature fundraising event by the St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation invites the community to sample local food and beverages while bidding on auction items, proceeds of which will go to the programs and services of St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
In 2015 St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation became the sole beneficiary of the Taste of Guelph fundraising efforts
The funds raised will assist in purchasing medical equipment required to provide rehabilitation, complex hospital care, palliative, and long-term care to the community.
Last year the foundation organized the event differently due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Instead, it offered food passports for participating locations to raise funds. The event raised over $135,000 for the Health Centre.
Since 2015, St. Joe’s Foundation has raised close to $800,000 for the Health Centre.
St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph operates 240 long-term care beds and over 100 specialty hospital beds, including complex continuing, palliative, and rehabilitation care. The Centre offers leading-edge community outreach programs, including Out’ n’ About, Alzheimer’s Day, Fergus Day Out, Acquired Brain Injury, and outpatient clinics that include occupational and physiotherapy.
“Taste of Guelph has long been the signature fundraising event for St. Joseph’s, and we’re so pleased to welcome the community back to our Health Centre grounds. We hope people will be inspired to support this year’s Taste of Guelph and help us raise vital funds to enable the purchase of medical equipment our care teams need to continue providing exceptional rehabilitation, complex hospital care, palliative, and long-term care to our community,” said Jennifer Hall, VP, Development
Guests can expect a delightful afternoon under big white tents sampling great food and drink provided by some of the best restaurants, caterers, vintners and craft brewers in Guelph and the surrounding area while bidding on unique auction items and enjoying the sounds of the Black Water Trio.
Tickets for the event went on sale on June 22 and are available to purchase online until August 30 with early bird pricing of $150 per person.
