Fundraising Drive Supports Loved One and so Many More
On-going community bottle and can collection supports compassionate care at St. Joe’s
Ildy and Tom Marchuk understand more than most the important role donations to St. Joseph’s play in people’s lives. Ildy’s daughter Ashley has been a resident in long-term care for five years and they are grateful for the compassionate care she receives every day.
It is this gratitude that has inspired them to raise funds for the equipment Ashley, and so many others, need. In fact, they have rallied many of their friends together to raise over $5,000 through an on-going community bottle and can collection.
“Raising funds for St. Joe’s is our way of saying thanks for the wonderful care Ashley receives here. We are grateful to the staff and to everyone in the community who supports St. Joe’s. Every donation helps to make a difference in people’s care,” shares Ildy.
“It is always an honour to receive donations from families whose loved ones receive care here. We are so grateful to Ildy and Tom and to all those they have inspired to join them in their wonderful fundraising efforts,” offers Karen Semma, Development Officer.
Community fundraisers can be a simple and effective way to make an impact in the lives of those facing significant health challenges.
